Mounds of clothes block the paths of toddlers as they sprint around while their mothers sort through box after box of secondhand clothing.
The little pants, tops and singlets came pouring in after Holdaway called on parents to donate baby clothes in the name of period poverty and reusable menstrual products.
The mother-of-two didn’t just wake up one day and decide to act.
She was inspired by sister-in-law and Kawakawa Labour MP Willow-Jean Prime who is tackling period poverty through menstrual cups in Northland.
